Burlingame Crit RR

June 24th, 2013

Jordan Anderson Race Report 6.23.13:

I just finished racing the E4 crit down in Burlingame. 40 minutes of fun! 6 corners, one bad crash, and one not so bad crash. The first crash took place in turn 6 in the top 5 guys, all I saw was shoe soles and upside bikes. I managed to avoid both wrecks. The whole race I was sitting in 10-15th, last 2 laps I moved into the top 5, last lap, last corner I was 3rd and sprinted to finish in 2nd. Really fun race, and I got some free swag. Thanks Owens! See you guys wednesday.

ICCC Dash for Cash Crit/Pescadero Coastal Classic

June 03rd, 2013

Jordan Anderson Race Report 6.2.13

Saturday-ICCC Dash for Cash Crit:
I raced in the 2/3/4’s first, and the Elite 4’s after. The 2/3/4’s was good experience, it was cool seeing how much smarter the 2’s and 3’s are, it was pretty intense too, so I decided to pull out and save myself for the 4’s race.¬†During the 4’s, I was able to stay in the top 15-20 for the entire race, and then moved to near the front for the final laps. The course was just four right corners with a back stretch and a finish stretch. The last lap I hugged the inside to make sure I was set up for the last corner, and on the sprint I waited long enough and ended up passing 3 guys for a 4th place finish. It was a good race!

Sunday-Pescadero Coastal Classic:
This was a really cool race, it has a good amount of climbing. There¬†are three climbs inside a 28 mile loop, the finish is on a 1.5 mile climb that is comparible to Zogg Mine. 1500 feet per lap. My race was 47 miles, 1.7 laps. The pace was pretty moderate when we weren’t climbing, while we were climbing it was a suffer fest. I was in the top 20 for most of first lap, and then the top 10 on the end of the last climb of the first lap…which is where my front wheel overlapped the guy in front of me, and he turned into me, wrecking about 10 of us. I would have been able to jump right back on if my bars hadn’t twisted, but it took a while to fix. I rode solo until a group of 4 caught up to me, so I did the remaining 25 miles with them. But overall it was a good race, I think some of us should go back next year. See everyone on Wednesday. Thanks Owens!

Blazing Saddles

June 03rd, 2013

Jordan Anderson Race Report 6.2.13

Race #1: Paul, Adam, Jonz, and I tore it up for the first race. The course went up escalator, counter-clockwise around the upper loop, and down terminator. Fast start as usuall, I got the holeshot and kept the lead through the finish, Jonz and Adam got on the podium for there class, and Paul got a flat. They fed us dinner and did a raffle after, fun time.
Race #2: The course was opposite to the first race, but we had some rain before, so it was better traction. Dooley grabbed the holeshot and led the field through the flats until the climb, and then I passed him, and I could see Todd biting at my heels for a while. I managed to hold the lead, Todd came in 4th, and the remaining powered it through the finish in little battles for positions. Everybody had fun once again, I won’t be there on Saturday for the final race, so you guys have fun!

Lemurian

June 03rd, 2013

Jordan Anderson Race Report 6.2.13

Last month, the whole team raced in the Lemurian, everybody finished and had a good time. We had a few podium finishes, Todd and Mike rode the tandem and finished in under 3 hours, followed by the Jonz so he could get some epic video. I think everybody made it without any flats or mechanicals, but managed to get a cramp or two. Good racing, fun time, thanks Paul and Michelle for the after-race party! No need to reply, just wanted to get a RR out there.
